Colour illustration by George Ernest Studdy (1878-1948) showing his canine creation, Bonzo, parachuting through the sky. Studdy created Bonzo for The Sketch magazine in the early 1920s. He was hugely popular with the character spawning a range of merchandise from plush toys to ink wells
