Bomb Disposal School, Bramley, Hampshire
Bomb Disposal School, Bramley, Hampshire, also known as the Army School of Ammunition, run by the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Seen here is a soldier demonstrating the use of a Molotov cocktail, ie a bottle containing an incendiary mixture. Earlier versions had to be lit before being thrown, but this one detonated on impact. It cost around 5 shillings (25p) to make, and was said to be capable of destroying a tank. Date: 1972
