Soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian Army at the command post of army commander General Eduard von Bohm-Ermolli (1856-1941) (seen here behind the table, wearing the darker cap). The Czernowitz area (modern day Chernivtsi in Bukovina, currently divided between Romania and Ukraine) was captured from the Russians on 3 August 1917, during the First World War. Date: July 1917
