Blind soldiers at St. Dunstans, WW1
St. Dunstans hostel, Regents Park, London. St. Dunstan s, near Hanover Gate in the park, was set up by Mr. C. Arthur Pearson in order to rehabilitate blinded soldiers, to help them acquire the skills for everyday life and to help them learn a trade in order to eventually find employment. Various photographs show the building itself, men basket-weaving, a workshop where carpentry was taught, mat and tray making underway.
