Bayezid II Kulliye was built in 1488 by the Ottoman sultan Bayezid II (reigned 14811512). Edirne - formerly Adrianople - close to the border with Greece and Bulgaria. Site of 16 major battles or sieges from Ancient Greek times up until the 1920s. According to popular mythology the city was built by Agamemnon. Date: circa 1910s
