The Bersaglieri are a corps of the Italian Army originally created by General Alessandro La Marmora in1836 to serve in the Army of the Kingdom of Sardinia, later to become the Royal Italian Army. Perugia is the capital city of the region of Umbria, crossed by the river Tiber. The city is also the capital of the province of Perugia. Date: 1918
