Armenian boy scouts blowing cook house at the Armenian refugee camp, Heliopolis, near Cairo, Egypt. The camp was formed during the Egyptian Riots of June 1919 and contained around 3000-4000 Armenian refugees. It was staffed by British officers. The boys in the camp were organised into scout troops, and were employed as buglers, scavengers, messengers, etc. Date: 1919
