In May 1930 Amy Johnsons six-day flight from Croydon, London to Karachi, set a new record for a solo flight to India. Amy standing infront of the Gipsy moth aeroplane " Jason", wearing shorts and carrying a bouquet presented by the chief of the Karachi municipality. After sending the night as a guest at Goverment House, she resumed her flight the next day. Date: 10 May 1930
