Woman police officer (WPS Ivy Baxter) of the Met Police during the Second World War. In July 1940 she was promoted from constable to sergeant and posted to the Isle of Man, where she undertook security duty for the duration at internment camps in Port Erin and Port St Mary. Date: circa 1940
