Top Sea Scout for 1975. This years winner of an award for the leading Sea Scout in the country was 19-year-old Romford (Essex) Venture Sea Scout, Leigh Brand. Leigh was a member of the 4th Seven Kings Sea Scout Group. Seen here receiving his award and prize of a pair of binoculars from Admiral Commanding Reserves, Rear Admiral H.W.E. Hollins on board HMS Discovery. He gained his award for completing the requirements of the Sea Scouts Pilot Badge and passing a navigation test set by the Admiral Commanding Reserves.
