Princess Louise
Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939) shown in the late 1860s with a pet dog. Louise was the fourth daughter and sixth child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. She married John Campbell, Marquess of Lorne, Duke of Argyll in 1871. She was gifted artist, studying at art school and accepting commissions. Her statue of Queen Victoria stands outside Kensington Palace and she was also responsible for a monument in St. Pauls Cathedral to the dead of the Boer War. Louise was the only child of Queen Victoria to have no family of her own
