Women from the John Grooms Crippleage and Blind Mission making artificial wild roses to be sold at Alexandra Day. In 1912, Alexandra Day celebrated the 49th anniversary of Queen Alexandras arrival in England and the proceeds of the selling of these wild roses, Queen Alexandras favourite flower, would go to charity as part of a " Day of Help for those in Pain" in her honour.
