Miss Christobel Ellis decorated for war work well done
Christobel Ellis, younger daughter of the Rev. the Hon. William Ellis, and a cousin of Lord Howard de Walden. An experienced and enthusiastic motorist, she served in France with the British Red Cross in 1914 and in Serbia from 1914 to 1915 (for which services she was awarded the Red Chevron, the Order of the British Empire and St. Sava of Serbia). She then became Commandant (head) of the Womens Legion of Motor-Drivers in the A.S.C. Date: 1918
