Lord Snowdon by Stephen Ward

Anthony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl Snowdon, husband of Princess Margaret (born 1930) sketched by the society osteopath and artist Stephen Ward for The Illustrated London News in a sitting specially granted at Kensington Palace in 1961, shortly before the birth of the Earl and Princess Margarets first child, Viscount Linley. Ward sketched several high profile figures for the Illustrated London News in 1961, but two years later he would become notorious through his involvement in the Profumo Affair. Date: 1961
