Aerial view of Ladywell Lodge, a residential institution for the elderly, near Lewisham, in south east London. The site was formerly St Olave's Union workhouse, designed by Newman & Newman, opened in 1900 to house the aged and infirm. During the First World War, it became Bermondsey Military Hospital and was later known as Bermondsey Institution.
