John Frank Stevens - Discovered Marias Pass over the Rockies
John Frank Stevens (1853-1943) - an American engineer who built the Great Northern Railway in the United States and was chief engineer on the Panama Canal between 1905 and 1907. This statue commemorates his Discovery of the Marias Pass (near Glacier National Park in northwestern Montana) over the Rocky Mountains in 1889. Date: circa 1910s
