Arles, France - edge of ruined amphitheatre and Rhone
Arles France - a view looking past the edge of the ruined Roman amphitheatre out over the river Rhone. The amphitheatre, which has 120 arches like those pictured all around its walls, was originally built in 90AD and hosted chariot races and hand-to-hand battles. In more modern times it has hosted bullfights, plays and concerts.
